Editorial policy
Honest Stage Stories aims to make clear, careful writing about live performance. We distinguish what an article observes from what it interprets, and we revisit the record when a detail needs correcting.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, terminology and factual claims before publication and write with care about what can and cannot be inferred from a performance. Interpretation is presented as interpretation, not as an undisputed fact. When a point depends on context, we say so.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader and the subject, not to secure favourable coverage. A partnership does not buy an editorial conclusion, and collaborators do not approve independent editorial coverage.
Corrections
Readers can report an error through the Contact page. We review the specific point and correct material errors clearly; when an explanation is needed, we add a note describing what changed.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements and material produced with a partner are identified where they appear, so readers can tell that they are distinct from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when that applies, the illustration is labelled.
A stage is made of choices
We look closely at how performers use space, movement, sound and objects to hold attention. The details are part of the story, not decoration around it.
